Da’wah (Arabic دعوة daˤwah, literally: summons or call) is an Arabic term meaning “invite” or “invitation”. The term is the active participle of a verb literally meaning “to call to” or “to invite” (derived from triconsonantal root د ع و / د ع ي). It is considered to be an obligation for Muslims to invite others to Islam. Da’wah is often referred to as the act of “preaching Islam”.

A Muslim who practices dawah, either as a religious worker or in a volunteer community effort, is called a Da’ee or Da`i (plural: du’āt (دعاة), singular: dā’iya, Arabic: داعي or داع or داعية). A da’i is thus a person who invites people to understand Islam, and may be categorized in some cases as an Islamic equivalent of a missionary.

Study is the first priority. But da’wah would never be left in second!

The spring’s most crucial group activity! lol. I think I have an elevated uric acid level due to continous consumption of meat these days.

Yesterday just went back from the mosque, spending more than 1000 rubles for 3 kilograms of meat, 2 kilograms of bones (for soup!) and another 2 kilogram of liver. Nope, i’m not a heavy meat eater, in fact, I’m a universal eater. It’s just that my “cuisine theme” this month is based on meat. Last month’s seafood. =)

Gosh, i really need to start exercising!

Winter 2007, my first skiing experience! Kinda clumsy at that time. I think i didnt really like skiing. Prefer skate-boarding though. This year, i was planning to try snowboarding, however dua to Anatomy Exam, couldnt really spare much time. Next year, perhaps!
